Dr. Blosser

Dr. Richard Blosser started his private GI medical practice in 1993 after finishing his residency and fellowship education at Georgetown University. He attended and graduated in 1988 from Eastern Virginia Medical School after a successful undergraduate career at The University of Virginia.


He has focused his career on advanced endoscopic techniques and has participated in numerous clinical trials over the past three decades in the advancement of gastrointestinal endoscopy. He performs upper endoscopy procedures with multiple therapeutic additions such as Stretta , TIF , ESG , TORe ,and Orbera balloon placement.


He as well performs colonoscopy and ERCP endoscopic procedures and has successfully performed over 75,000 endoscopic procedures during his career. He has been elected numerous times to the Washingtonian Top Doctors listings and currently holds a Fellowship appointment to the American Gastroenterological l Association (FAGA).
